IDX Fees

IDX stands for Internet Data Exchange. Listings added to the MLS may be marked for public exchange among other brokers and can thereby be displayed on any website displaying MLS IDX data. Though every city can be a little different, most areas that have MLS IDX providers charge an additional fee to the Agent or Agency to add IDX search on their personal or company websites.

Types of IDX Available in most areas:

  • SmartFrame
A SmartFrame is a link provided by your MLS IDX provider that you can frame on your website that displays property searches and data directly from the MLS. These frames are pre-definde and setup by your IDX provider and are usually less expensive than the option below.
  • Data Feed
A Data Feed is when the IDX data is physically transferred to a vendor for an Agent or an Agency and custom search tools are developed to find and display property data. This option is typically more expensive than a SmartFrame.

RealtyWebPage.net can either become a vendor and develop a custom search and display tool for your office, or our websites can display your SmartFrame.

Please check with your local MLS office for more information about fees and rules.
